What's New in 1.4.0 - September 2026¶

Revoir on iPad, and a Home screen that scrolls:

iPad layout - Revoir adapts to the larger screen instead of stretching an iPhone layout across it
Home scrolls properly - three gestures that were competing with the scroll view no longer claim your drags
First-use tip at large text sizes - the tip can no longer take over the screen and stop Home scrolling
A new app icon - on the warmer end of the Dusk and Linen palette

Sharper Insights colours - several colours below the 3:1 contrast threshold moved onto adaptive tokens in both themes
Name punctuation - names ending in a full stop no longer get a second one added

Insights unlocks again - the tab could sit on its progress gate regardless of how many dates you had logged
Card rendering recovers - a renderer crash no longer cascades through your other card exports

The largest release since launch:

Dusk and Linen - a complete warm dark theme and a warm light theme, applied to every surface
Dynamic Type - text scales and layouts reflow across the whole app at larger text sizes
VoiceOver and Reduce Motion - a full accessibility pass, with destructive actions announcing their result
Honest saving - the app no longer reports a success it did not achieve, and destructive actions commit atomically
Fix a date after the fact - re-tappable mood check-ins and a discard warning on the date form
Undo for deleting people - delete and archive are confirmable and reversible
Export fixes - Wingman respects your selected card set, Story cards render correctly at export resolution

List buttons work during the ceremony - the first-save ceremony's dismiss gesture no longer swallows taps beneath it
A better moment to ask - the App Store rating request waits for your first pattern unlock

Your first save is a moment - a one-time acknowledgement the first time you log something
Skippable onboarding - every step has a skip control, and the whole flow is faster
Insights in light mode - the Insights cards finally have a real light theme
Lora bundled - typography renders identically on every device
Occasional in-app surveys - short, optional questions about how the app is working for you

Emotional UI — the app now feels like a journal, not a dashboard:

Feeling-first onboarding — your first interaction is one question: how are you feeling about dating right now?
Emotional pattern sentences — each person profile surfaces one plain-language insight about your pattern with them
First pattern unlock — a full-screen moment the first time you have enough data to see a real pattern
Micro-interactions — haptic save confirmation, mood selection pause, identity-first You profile reveal
Warm visual design — Lora serif typography, warm dark backgrounds, breathing animations
Date titles — optional short title on any date entry

Introducing Daily Coaching Tips, Conversation Starters, Your Dating Archetype, and Wingman Mode:

Daily Coaching Tips — one coaching tip each day, chosen based on your dating life right now
Conversation Starter Library — browsable collection organized by category, save favorites
Your Dating Archetype — label calculated from how you actually date: Deep Diver, Spark Chaser, Planner, Slow Burner, Explorer, or Homebody
Wingman Mode — share a privacy-filtered snapshot of your dating journey with a trusted friend

Two bug fixes for Settings card preview and Mood check-in sharing:

Card set preview fix — the card preview in Settings now correctly shows your selected card set instead of always defaulting to Eras Wrapped
Mood check-in share fix — sharing from the Mood check-in card no longer fails with a render error when Eras Story is selected
