Version 1.3.0¶
Release Date: August 2026 Build: 202608032329 Platform: iOS 18.0+
What's New in Revoir 1.3.0¶
The largest release since launch. A new colour world, real Dynamic Type support across the whole app, and a long list of fixes to saving, deleting, and exporting.
Dusk and Linen¶
Revoir has a new colour world, and it has a name.
Dusk is the dark theme: deep, warm, low-contrast in the way an evening is, built so the app is comfortable to open at night when most reflection actually happens. Linen is the light theme: warm paper rather than clinical white, so it reads like a journal in daylight instead of a spreadsheet.
Both themes are complete. Every surface, card, badge, and chart was moved onto shared colour tokens, so there are no longer screens that look like they belong to a different app depending on which theme you use. Follow your system setting or pick one in Settings.
Dynamic Type across the app¶
If you use larger text sizes on your iPhone, Revoir now respects that everywhere.
Text scales, layouts reflow instead of clipping, and cards grow to fit their contents rather than truncating them. This was applied systemically rather than screen by screen, so it holds up on screens added later.
Fixed-size text remains only where an export renders to a fixed-pixel image, because those need to be the same dimensions regardless of your device settings.
VoiceOver and Reduce Motion¶
A full accessibility pass landed alongside Dynamic Type.
- VoiceOver labels, hints, and grouping were corrected across the app, and destructive actions like deleting or archiving a person now announce their result rather than passing silently
- Reduce Motion is honoured by the app's animation loops. Breathing and looping animations stop when the system setting is on, while the interface stays fully usable
- Contrast was corrected on status badges, whose labels previously fell below the AA threshold on their tinted backgrounds
Saving that tells the truth¶
The save path was reworked so that the app never reports success it did not achieve.
If a save fails, you are told. Destructive actions commit atomically, so a delete either completes fully or does not happen at all, with nothing left half-finished. Previously it was possible for a save to report success while quietly having done nothing.
Fixing a date entry after the fact¶
Two changes make date entries less final.
- Mood check-ins are re-tappable. Tap a mood you already recorded to correct it. Intensity resets so you are not stuck with the old value, and any note you wrote is preserved
- The date form warns before discarding. Backing out of a partly filled form asks first instead of silently throwing away what you typed
Undo for deleting people¶
Deleting or archiving a person now shows a confirmation with an undo option, and announces the result to VoiceOver.
Corrupt shared content no longer blocks you¶
If content shared into Revoir from another app arrives damaged, it is quarantined rather than discarded, and Home shows a passive notice once. Your existing data is untouched, the damaged item is kept in case it can be recovered, and the notice does not follow you around the app.
Export and card fixes¶
A cluster of fixes to Wrapped and Story cards:
- Wingman exports now respect the card set you actually selected
- Story cards render their content regions correctly and use a type scale matched to export resolution
- Card previews are dimension-aware, so what you preview is what you export
- Exports normalise to exact pixel dimensions for each destination
Fixes¶
- The Insights tab shows a full-screen progress gate below the five-date threshold, rather than an empty chart
- Home returns to the top of its stack when you tap its tab, matching the other tabs
- In-app surveys render natively, so they follow Dusk and Linen instead of arriving in their own styling
