About Revoir
Revoir was founded in 2024 by a developer who watched friends struggle with pattern blindness in dating. The same situations kept repeating. The same people kept showing up in different names. The same emotional cycles played out, date after date, with no clear way to see what was actually happening. Dating is one of the most emotionally complex things we do, and most of us are doing it without any tools for reflection at all. That felt worth fixing.
Revoir is a privacy-first dating journal for iOS that helps you understand your patterns, track your mood, and date with intention. It lives entirely on your device. Nothing leaves your phone.
Why We Built This
Most dating apps are optimized for engagement, not for your wellbeing. They want you swiping, not reflecting. The result is that people spend enormous energy on dating without building any real understanding of what is working for them or what is not.
Revoir is different in a fundamental way. Think of it as a dating reflection app rather than another way to meet people. There are no profiles to browse, no matches to chase, no notifications designed to pull you back in. Just a quiet, thoughtful space to log your experiences, notice your moods, and start seeing the patterns that are otherwise invisible.
When you can see who you are drawn to, how your energy shifts after different kinds of dates, and what conditions bring out your best self, you date with more intention. You stop repeating the same mistakes not because someone told you to, but because you can actually see them.
Privacy Is Not a Feature
It is the foundation. Your dating data is intimate. It involves real people, real feelings, and real vulnerability. We take that seriously, and we built Revoir so that privacy is not a policy we follow but an architectural fact that makes it impossible for anyone to access your data.
There is no server storing your history. There is no cloud sync. All of your entries, mood logs, tags, and reflections are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework with iOS Data Protection. We have no database on our end that holds your records. We cannot read your journal. We cannot sell it. We cannot lose it in a breach, because we never had it.
This is not a marketing promise. It is a technical constraint we deliberately chose when we designed the architecture in 2024. Local-only storage means your data belongs to you in the most literal sense. When you delete the app, the data is gone. No backups on our servers. No lingering records. Nothing.
We also collect no usage data, no behavioral telemetry, and no analytics about how you use the app. Your patterns stay yours.
What Revoir Does
Revoir lets you log dates and track your mood before, during, and after each one. Over time it surfaces patterns in your dating life through Mira. Ask her what she is noticing. She runs entirely on your phone. Your entries never leave your device.
You can tag people, note what kind of date it was, reflect on how you felt, and revisit entries whenever you want.
Premium users get access to all 15 shareable card types including the full Year-in-Review deck, custom tags beyond the built-in set, and print-ready PDF exports. Free users can try the core experience with no time limit.
Revoir is available now on the iOS App Store. An Android version is in development.

We are a small team. We build slowly and deliberately. Every feature we ship goes through a real question: does this help people date with more intention, and does it preserve their privacy in the process? If the answer to either is no, we do not ship it.
