Solutions to common issues.

App Issues

App won't open or crashes on launch

  1. Force quit and reopen
  2. Swipe up from bottom, swipe away Revoir
  3. Reopen the app

  4. Restart your device

  5. Power off completely
  6. Wait 30 seconds
  7. Power back on

  8. Check for updates

  9. Open App Store
  10. Tap your profile icon
  11. Pull down to refresh
  12. Update Revoir if available

  13. Reinstall the app

  14. ⚠️ This deletes all your data
  15. Export your data first if possible
  16. Delete and reinstall from App Store

App is slow or laggy

  • Close other apps to free up memory
  • Restart your device
  • Check available storage (Settings → General → iPhone Storage)

Data Issues

"My data isn't syncing"

Revoir doesn't sync — this is intentional for privacy. All data stays on your device only.

If you want the same data on multiple devices, you'll need to export from one and manually transfer.

Data disappeared after update

This shouldn't happen, but if it does:

  1. Check if you're signed into the same Apple ID
  2. Check Recently Deleted (items stay for 30 days)
  3. Contact support with details about the update

Can't restore from backup

Currently, Revoir doesn't support automatic backup restoration. The export file is for your records. Full backup/restore is planned for a future update.

Share Extension Issues

Share Extension doesn't appear

  1. Open the share sheet in any app
  2. Scroll right to the end
  3. Tap More
  4. Enable Revoir
  5. Tap Done

Share Extension is slow

The first time you use it after an update, it may take a moment to load. Subsequent uses should be faster.

Saved moment doesn't appear

  1. Open Revoir
  2. Check your Inbox for orphaned moments
  3. Assign the moment to a person

Export Issues

PDF export fails

  • Make sure you have enough storage space
  • Try a smaller date range
  • Restart the app and try again

Can't share exported file

  • Check your internet connection (for cloud shares)
  • Try saving to Files first, then sharing from there
  • Make sure the destination app supports the file type

Export is missing data

  • Only completed dates with moods are included
  • Check your date range selection
  • Archived items may be excluded by default

Notification Issues

Not receiving reminders

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications → Revoir
  2. Make sure notifications are enabled
  3. Check that "Allow Notifications" is on
  4. Verify your reminder settings in the app

Too many notifications

  1. Open Revoir → Settings → Notifications
  2. Adjust reminder frequency
  3. Disable specific notification types

Premium/Subscription Issues

Purchase not recognized

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Tap Restore Purchases
  3. Make sure you're signed into the correct Apple ID

Can't complete purchase

  • Check your Apple ID payment method
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection
  • Try restarting the app

Charged but no Premium

  1. Wait a few minutes (purchases can take time to process)
  2. Try Restore Purchases
  3. Contact support with your receipt
