Core Concepts

Understanding the building blocks of Revoir.

People

A Person is someone you're dating or have dated. Each person has:

  • Name — Their name or a nickname
  • Source — Where you met (Hinge, Bumble, Tinder, IRL, etc.)
  • Status — Active, archived, or in a relationship
  • Tags — Emoji tags that describe them
  • Dates — All the dates you've had with them

Dates

A Date is a single meeting or interaction with a person:

  • When — Date and time
  • Activity — What you did (coffee, dinner, walk, etc.)
  • Location — Where you went (optional)
  • Notes — Your thoughts about the date
  • Tags — Emoji tags specific to this date
  • Moods — How you felt before, during, and after

Mood Check-ins

Revoir tracks your mood in three phases:

Phase When Example
Before Leading up to the date Nervous, excited, anxious
During On the date Happy, bored, attracted
After Reflecting afterward Content, confused, hopeful

This helps identify patterns like "I always feel anxious before dates with avoidant types" or "Coffee dates leave me happier than dinner dates."

Emoji Tags

Tags are emoji-based labels you can apply to people and dates:

  • 🚩 Red flag
  • 💚 Green flag
  • ✨ Great chemistry
  • 🦋 Butterflies
  • 😴 Boring

Tag Inheritance

Tags on a person automatically apply to all their dates. Tags on a date only apply to that specific date.

Example

If you tag someone with 🚩, all their dates will show that flag. But if a specific date has ✨, only that date shows it.

Moments

Moments are captured experiences from your dating journey:

  • Photos — Screenshots, selfies, date pics
  • Notes — Quick thoughts or reflections
  • Links — Their profile, a restaurant, etc.

Use the Share Extension to save content directly from other apps.

Insights

Once you have enough data (5+ dates), Revoir generates Insights:

  • Dating patterns and trends
  • Mood correlations
  • Platform performance
  • Compatibility observations

Insights use hedging language ("tends to," "may indicate") because patterns aren't predictions.
